I got sent a link to this footage of 2 ski mountaineers who got stuck somewhere on Bidean nam Bian 2 days ago and spent the night on the mountain. Not sure where exactly they were. Anyone got any ideas? :?

I thought it looked like Sron na Lairig on Stob Coire Sgreamhach when I saw it, but haven't seen confirmation.

It looks like SnL to me as well - the narrow bit at the top (this section is nothing more than an exposed walk in summer). Having explored Bidean from most angles, I can't think of anything else.

Looks like to spot to me too, and it concurs with rumours over on UKC. I guess that they were climbers who had used skis to make the approach less of a total wade in the prevailing snow conditions.

Cheers guys I see it now. They did well to survive there for the entire night. I imagine they managed to dig in and were not in that precarious position for the whole time.

I wonder what they did for food? Perhaps there were three of them when they set out....

Could be that their loads were a bit lighter ......did I see that the skiing kit was left behind on the ridge. I would guess too awkward to enter the rescue vehicle with all of that stuff.
