Anyone know what the snow conditions up there are like at the moment?

Thanks

I would expect soft wet snow, but still quite extensive cover on the tops. Slow thaw set to continue over the next few days.

Here's a link to the webcam showing Ben More (the one at Crianlarich)

Definitely still some snow around near the top.

Thanks Dave.

Thinking of doing this one on Saturday from the Crainlarich side.

Anyone got any idea on the best route?

Come across a couple - mainly the one starting at community woodland (longer, less steep), and one starting on a layby on the A82 (shorter, steeper).

Be grateful for anyones views.

I would recommend starting as for https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/an-caisteal.shtml then crossing the bridge at NN378229 and heading up onto Grey Heights: it's not particularly steep. This saves all the faffing about in the forestry, and is more convenient if you are including Tulaichean as well.

Aye, it was cracking.

Felt fairly smug as well speaking to all the folk who had slogged through the forest :D

Cheers, again
