Park up Tyndrum for Three Nights?

Park up Tyndrum for Three Nights?

Postby JimboJim » Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:20 pm

Hi. Looking to make arrangements for a few days on Skye, but may need abandon car somewhere for three nights. Green Welly, Tyndrum, or car park in Tarbet? Any thoughts on them, or other reasonably safe suggestions on, near A82, in that vicinity. Happy enough to pay a few bob if that is part of the deal :) Cheers. Jimmy

I reckon you'd be fine in the Smelly Welly car park. Also got the car park next to the Bridge of Orchy Hotel.

NB. Watch nobody raises the alarm thinking your lost on the hills. That nearly happened to me when I left my car in Roybridge overnight.

Thanks for all your advice, suggestions, folks. Should I leave message in car window, something to the effect of "don't phone emergency servjces, gone for walk, back in a few days?"

If leaving a note I personally would leave a contact number of a family member on the dashboard. So if anyone has concerns they can call them to be informed all is fine.

Don't want to advertise you car wheels are up for grabs
Not that it is likely to happen but you never know.

Yes, very true. That's what I'll do, ta.
