Wondering about the possibility of using a bike from Inverie, using the walkhighlands route going clockwise, climbing up from the bridge crossing the river and returning the same way?

You could get a taxi. When we did Beinn na Cailich out that way we hired an 4WD from Inverie to cut out the boring bits. You can cycle quite a way on a MTB We didn't get it back, but walked, as there was no reception at that time....don't know if it is better now. Not sure how it would fit in with the remainder of the route.

You can cycle to the bridge from Inverie which saves you almost 5km of land rover track walking each direction. My partner managed to cycle his hybrid with slick tyres but if you have a mountain bike it will be easier, front shocks are useful too as the track is quite rough but not essential.

Although not one to miss the chance of a bike 'n hike, your munro map shows you have the three Knoydart munros to cover so wondered whether you'd considered a loop for all three instead, either a long day or take a tent ? - cheers :)

Bit of a shame not to do the full round: it's a very fine walk. But if you have a boat to catch, the bike approach is certainly an option.

Regard most of 4WD drive walking as boring when you could be on a hill, from where you get much better views. We got those views on the way back. Admittedly that was a rather a poor choice of words for Knoydart
