Think it far more amazing that someone should push a brussels sprout up any mountain, using only his nose, let alone Snowdon. I cannot for the life of me understand how it didn't disintegrate after the first 500 yards or so. (Maybe the self invented rules allowed him to replace it with another when it wore out...yes, I have just been forced to google it, as I couldn't go to bed without finding out, and he used 22 sprouts.)

There's an anvil half way up Goat Fell; I wasn't inclined to remove it.

Umm, anvil sized? There's a picture of it in my report, although nothing much for scale. I think it's a landmark by now!

Maybe it was a rabbit looking for a mound to burrow into?

A guy dragged that anvil up to the summit in a fundraising event a few years ago.

on a serious note......a lot of this junk seems to come from charity walks (plus said charity walks getting lost and/or exhausted..)

Beyond where the path from Brodick joins the ridge, but not as far on as the final climb to the summit - I expect Glengavel's grid reference is right. Maybe it's moved downhill since last year, though - it was apparently on the summit at one point.

Surely half a toilet seat was odder. I mean what happened to the other half!?

I also noticed that quite a few of these things seemed to have been left by charity walks. Shame really, as it somewhat negates the good work that charities do.

Re anvil on Goatfell,i think the National Trust for Scotland got in touch with the person to remove it because he did not have permission to leave it and they wanted it removed.
