Munro/hill names for dogs

Postby Em2289 » Sun Jan 20, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi,

Going to be getting a golden retriever, a boy, in the next couple of weeks and looking for name suggestions, maybe after a hill or Munro.

:)

Pity Buidhe is not a very shoutable name as Beinn Bhuidhe means yellow hill. You could totally anglicise it and call it Buddy. I know dogs just called Beinn.

Bracken is a good name.

Also I was in the park the other day when I heard a fellow dog walker call his dogs. They were named Lewis and Harris.

I like Corrie/Coire or Beinn for a male dog too.

I have a Roy and a Lochy both male spaniels.
Roy coz I liked the name and Lochy after Lochnagar

Brilliant. I had a cousin who had a Felix Topolski Whiteboots Campbell. Our cat is called Shroedinger (after the physicist) shortened to Ginge as he is a ginger cat.
Nothing at all to do with hills, but cats do need to have sophisticated names imho

But is he both alive and dead when he's in his box? We need to know.

A friend of mine has a cat called Louis whom she calls Lulu, he's very confused.

A contributor on here has a dog called An Cu, I like that.
