Hi all
Got excited with the sun and decided I wanna camp overnight up high.
Looking for recommendations of a hill (ideally Munro) within 2 hours of glasgow with fabulous sunset/sunrise potential.
Would be on my own with the dogs but would only go in good weather.
Been up all the Munro’s closest to Glasgow in daylight.
Thanks in advance

Not munros, but the Arran hills are great for a summit camp. Caisteal Abhail has the best options for pitching in my opinion and there's a fresh water spring not too far from the summit.

Goatfell is also good, but it's a bit more limited in terms suitable pitches.

For flat grassy summits head east. Also you want to make it a hill that isn't too popular as sitting eating your porridge in your pants as hundreds trudge past you on Ben Lomond ruins the ambience.
All the southern/eastern cairngorms NP Munros have potential.
Perhaps Dreish or one of the Glenshee munros if you are up and about early enough.

These all worked pretty well for me in the past in the general vicinity of Glasgow:
Ben Vorlich: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=85635
Ben Venue: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52620
Beinn Luibheann: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=62832
Beinn an Lochain: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=84541
To be honest, you could pick almost anything. Arran is definitely a good shout though.

How about Ben Lawers? It is popular but people tend to stick to the paths. Get off the beaten path and find a wee nook looking out over Loch Tay. Or high up Kirkton Glen, above Balquidder in the Trossachs. The south side of Loch Tay has rarely-visited hills too.

Ben Starav gives good summit views at dawn and there is room to pitch just below the summit.
