WH description for Steall Falls here - puts it at 1.5 - 2 hours each way so factor in 3-4 hours round trip.

Aren’t all the WH distances/times for the round trip?

I walked the Ring of Steall on Wednesday and from the lower car park it took me about half an hour to walk to it. I was walking at a decent pace so for a leisurely stroll maybe plan on an hour up then an hour down.

Looking at the route map, the quoted distance of 3.5 km does seem to fit the whole journey out and back. With 220 m of ascent, that does suggest a time for the whole trip of 1.5 to 2 hours.

I suppose it depends on how long you spend having your picnic!

That is assuming you walk at the average speed of a Horsham resident. The walking alone would take an hour max there and back, then add on time for enjoying the surroundings.
