Wild camping on the fife coastal path

Wild camping on the fife coastal path

Postby RussellMcNaughton » Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:39 am

Hello

I am thinking of taking my six year old son wild camping on the fife coastal path. I am thinking of walking from Anstruther to St Andrews over 2 days camping in the middle. Has anyone done any wild camping around here? Just looking for tips or suggestions

I’m pretty sure the usual rules apply ie Scottish Outdoor Access Code? Sounds a great trip you have planned

Rohan did the whole thing with her granddaughter camping. Don't know how to copy links on my phone but you could search

Think this must be it: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=45130

They found a spot just before Fife Ness. If you want to go further than that on your first day, you might need to be fairly discreet: from Fife Ness to Kingsbarns is almost all golf courses or farmer’s fields (possibly with cows).
