In loving memory of my wife Elizabeth

In loving memory of my wife Elizabeth

This is probably the most difficult post I have ever had to write, after a long 11 year struggle with cancer my wife Elizabeth finally succumbed to this horrible disease on Monday 13th of January in Strathcarron Hospice.

I will find peace and solace back in the mountains eventually, but coming home will never be the same.
Elizabeth was always there waiting on me, waiting to hear my story
Till we meet again

I'm so sorry to hear of your sad loss after what must've been such a difficult time for you both. The loss will be painful but it can be softened over time by the memories of all the good times , the stories and adventures, the smiles and laughter which will never leave you. Never feel alone - she will be with you on all your travels and guiding you along the way.

Remember that you are never alone - you have taken the first brave steps in sharing your grief and I know we all feel your sadness - but we are all here to support you throughout your journey too. Don't give up on the hills yet - they can be such a wonderful comfort at times of inner turmoil. Yes, it will take time and life will be different but we will be with you all the way.
