A very interesting article from David Lintern but unfortunately contains one glaring error.
A quote "The DWG report recommends that numbers should be reduced to no more than 10 per square hectare across the country,"
The report refers to 10 deer per square Kilometre.

Unfortunately it's been "corrected" to 'more than 10 per square kilometers', and there are still two references to square hectares.
A sentence that puzzled me was: 'In Norway, 10% of the general population are engaged in deer control'. That seems an extraordinarily high percentage: if it's true, what exactly does "engaged in deer control" mean? (For comparison, the NHS in England employs about 1.2 million people, which is about 2%).

Not supported by the official statistics - according to https://www.ssb.no/en/jord-skog-jakt-og-fiskeri/statistikker/jeja there were 91,270 active hunters of cervids in 2018-19, which is about 1.7% of the total population of 5.375 million.
