For two years I was homeless and living in a (well fitted out!) Landrover....where to go if it was now? what are homeless people to do?

Some homeless people have been put up temporarily in hotels, even an airport.

Lots of stories about this:

"Coronavirus: Heathrow Airport sheltering '200 homeless people'"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-52151662

"Coronavirus: How the UK's homeless are coping during the pandemic"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-52027172/coronavirus-how-the-uk-s-homeless-are-coping-during-the-pandemic

"UK hotels to become homeless shelters under coronavirus plan"
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/21/uk-hotels-homeless-shelters-coronavirus

Of course some people are sleeping rough because of issues around addiction and mental health and a minority (got to stress that it is a minority) of people, as hard as this is to grasp, prefer to do so even when there are hostel beds available. I don't know what's bee n done about that minority of people in this crisis.
