A very quiet ride up to the Cottage. The recent high winds has taken down one of the few hardwood trees close to the Cottage.

There is now a sign to help walkers and cyclists to stay away from the damaged area beside the river.

The trembling Poplar has been toppled with large areas of internal rot showing however the beech tree seems still to healthy.
I wonder who it was that planted these trees ......a couple of hundred years ago?
