Partial Brother's Ridge feasible?

Partial Brother's Ridge feasible?

Postby JonetCol » Sat Jul 11, 2020 8:48 pm

I may get the chance to be in Kintail. With the little free time I'll have I'd love to do a shortish walk. I'd love to complete the Brothers ridge but v much doubt I'll have time for the whole circuit - and I don't fancy the walk back along the tarmac etc anyway.

Anyone done Saileag and Sgurr a' Bhealich Dheirg and just come back the same way? I guess the descent fom Bealach an Lapain may be awkward.

Any thoughts welcome.

This is a route we used to do those two in winter. Very feasible if you are happy finding your way down pathless rough ground. It is mainly grass so not too much of a struggle with heather or bracken.

I'm sure when I did the brothers ridge I passed a wee cairn and a kinda stalkers path heading down off the ridge , just about where your map shows
