Hello everyone. We are new to this site and would like some info of good walks around Portavadie. We love coastal, forests, small hills up to 700m around lakes or lochs in Scotland. We have completed walks in England (Lake District) and North Wales. This will be our first trip to Scotland for walking. We are going on 15th October for a week. Also any info of good guides, route maps for the walks :D

Welcome to the WH forums!

Portavadie is maybe a slightly unusual choice for a walking holiday, but there are some nearby walks detailed here: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/argyll/cowal.shtml You can also head over to Kintyre https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/argyll/kintyre.shtml or Bute https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/argyll/isle-of-bute.shtml which have maybe better options for coastal/beach walks.
For quality hill walking, you'll need to head up towards the Arrochar/Lochgoilhead area. Ben Donich https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/ben-donich.shtml would make a great introduction to Scottish hillwalking.
