Hello from the Black Forest

Hello from the Black Forest :)

I have just entered the forum now.

I have lived in Scotland for some time - and have visited Scotland later again and again.

And I have always enjoyed walking in the Highlands

Welcome. Lots of walks to choose from here, though not many forested ones.

Welcome Munro22,
I envy your time living in Scotland, although the Black Forest is also beautiful.
As we're not allowed to holiday in our favourite country and walk the Highland Hills we decided to stay in Germany and go to ... The Black Forest! :)
Whereabout are you living? We've booked a holiday cottage in Oberharmersbach near Freudenstadt in October. A couple of years ago we walked the Schluchtensteig in the Hochschwarzwald, and some stages of the Westweg.
But the Highlands are beyond compare!
Greetings from the Odenwald!

Now I have found the forum again!

I know Oberharmersbach quite well!
And once I did the Westweg from Pforzheim to Basel.

I am living in the former Capital of the former Grand Duchy of Baden = Karlsruhe.
Greetings from Baden!

Thank you for your welcome!
And yes: Forests in the Highlands are few - and far between.
But I like hiking there!

Good evening!

I call myself Black Forest Tom because I am from Freiburg im Breisgau.

My favourite part of the Black Forest is the Wutachschlucht, my favourite mountain is the Belchen.

I support SC Freiburg.

I have lived in Scotland for 26 years, as I met my wife when I was a volunteer in a Camphill School in Perthshire back in 1990.

I live in Fife, in view of the Forth Bridge.

Well met!
Freiburg im Breisgau I know very well!
I have lived there for years.
I was born in Baden-Baden - and have also lived in Meersburg - on the Lake of Constance.
