Hi All

Hi All

Hi, I have enjoyed walking for many years but not climbed a lot of hills. Most of the walks I used to do were getting from A to B, missing out going to the summits of the hills I passed. I am now wanting to get more into hill walking and climbing more and more.

Really looking forward to April 26th when I can leave the Falkirk Council area and climb again. Probably first steps will be in the nearby Ochils. Then trying to get out as often as possible, should also help me lose a bit more weight and get a bit fitter. Hopefully I'll write a bit about the walks I do.

In the hills there are the suspenders (ropes) ascenders(peak baggers) and wenders (going from A to B) I never used to see the point of getting up hills if you could walk through them, but realised that if I wanted to walk with husband, I would have to climb them. Hence, we have climbed everything on each side of the West Highland Way, but never walked it. . Sounds as if you are happier wending, but there is room for everyone. Welcome.

I only recently walked in the so hills. They are an excellent choice to get started with. You will not be disappointed. This site has some good routes to start with.

I have just joined Walk Highlands & I have recently moved to Larbert, so if you are looking for some company to do any walks, let me know.

Will do. I usually go with my son and sometimes a guy from work.
