I'm Laura and new to this site, I have never actually been to Scotland before but considering my first time there to be on a long distance hike.
I'm undecided which one, as there are several which look great.
Are there any other lone females who have hiked along the trails?
It's great news wild camping seems largely permitted on the trails, helps to keep to a smaller budget.

Hope to hear from some like minded people and look forward to reading more on the site x

Hi Laura

Welcome!

I recently walked the West Highland Way which was good, but not as spectacular as I’d envisaged. The Great Glen Way looks like the scenery would be great!

I can’t comment on lone female walkers experiences, but these places are fairly remote, often passing through small villages so people you do encounter will likely be fellow walkers. I reckon you’ll be safe, we’re a friendly enough bunch 🤣
