Hello everyone,

This is my first post & will be my FIRST Munro next Friday ~ I currently live in North Wales but am a local to Aviemore, I'm 38 years old & have the walking addiction BAD (better late than never) after doing the lairig ghru last year.

I walk/ramble/climb scramble a lot amongst the beautiful Snowdonian Range but theres NO PLACE LIKE HOME right

So my 1st Munro's going to be ~~~ BEN MACDUI ~~~~ I'm soooooo excited, going to take heaps of fotties too

Welcome to the site, Isla. You've certainly picked a biggie for your first Munro as there's only Ben Nevis that can top Ben Macdui. I'm presuming you're climbing it from the north with you being based in Aviemore? I've only ever done it from the south on what was a fantastic day's walk.

I'm hoping all the big walks/climbs/scrambles i've down at Snowdon will allow me to complete BM without sending me straight to my kip & wiped out when i get home

I've got everything crossed for the weather & look forward to sharing my photos with you (thats if i can work out how to of course because i'm struggling to add a profile pick let alone anything else)
