Hi all, and thanks so much to everyone who contributes to WalkHighlands for all the advice and information that you are sharing.

I'm setting off on the Scottish National Trail in a few days - nervous (I admit) but feeling prepared thanks largely to the comments, news and knowledge shared by this community.

So if you see a tall, skinny, bald guy looking lost in a field between Kirk Yetholm and Cape Wrath over the next couple of months, that'll be me.

I hope to meet any of you, en route.

All the best

Just been doing the West Highland Way, and was astounded how many people (8 in a week) that I met coing from John o'Groats lookig to arrive at Land's End, so if you are on a regular trail you are bound to meet people going along (with the possible exception of the CWT. Good luck.
