Walks in and around Helmsdale

Postby AlisonMitchell61 » Sat Jul 30, 2022 4:08 pm

Hi everyone! I’m going to be in Helmsdale 4-8 Aug with 2 adults and an 8 year old. Although an experienced summer and winter Munro Walker, I’m looking for some low level walks for my 8 year old granddaughter in and around Helmsdale. Thanks! Alison

Go to "Walks" on the top left of this page, click on "Search All Walks" and fill in Helmsdale. Loads will appear. My own favourite is Morvern, but if that is a bit long, she might manage Smean and/or Maiden Pap. Families seem to enjoy panning for gold in Kildonan, but I'm not sure if you have to take your own kit or not.

Helmsdale is such a dope name, I always think of it as some Lord of the Rings type fortress. :D
