...WOW, radical! I can sort of see the point when the top is rated close to 3000, but not for me.
Usually accepted "topping" is with a touch of the cairn, and a possibly a photo.
Just think, with the "over 3000ft" criteria you could "bag" most of the Cairngorms with almost no effort at all - a short stroll from the top car park, declare which summit you were really going for, "I was going to do the whole North round, is that five or six?" and add the ticks...
Ah well, no one will know, but I feel that standing on top and looking all around is so very different to pausing on ascent and looking up, that I want to get to the top, or accept that it was just a walk in the hills (and I've had a fair few of those!).
