Hi everyone,

I found this site when looking for walks around Glencoe. I'm living down in Cambridgeshire but original from the Lake District, the highest hill around here is a mole hill :). I will be walking Ben Nevis and other walks in the area, in the first 2 weeks of July. If anyone hears some one saying we lost it will be my good lady :) who will be walking with me.

Thanks to all who have made this site and the routes which are on the site.

Welcome and good luck to you both with the Ben!

Know what you mean about Cambridgeshire - my Dad lived outside Godmanchester latterly, and we all used to joke about the mountain that Ely cathedral sits on... all of about 10m, and way higher than the surrounding fens I seem to recall!

Hi and welcome.

Like you I originated in the Lakes but ended up working down near Bedford for a while doing research with the Met Office. I once spent a depressing two days driving around the fens looking for a really flat area where we could do an experiment we had planned - as I recall it was amazing how many windbreaks and levees there were around there and how few contours :(

No wonder I moved back North :D

All the best,

John
