Hi my name is Kev, I stay in Forres and after doing quite a lot of lowland walks, have been bitten by the Munro bug (plus some very vicious midges!) Great site you have here with lots of information. Love the Munro map feature.

Cheers for now

Hi Kev and welcome to the site! - just in time to catch our first few walks around your neck of the woods, too.

Welcome Kev, good to see someone from Forres! I'm from there myself but now live in Inverness.

Zebidee - great Bakers indeed - presume you're talking about MacLeans and not Ashers!! (MacLeans also now in Grantown and Nairn - and hopefully one day they'll reach Inverness and get rid of Harry Gows!). Best rolls (softies, wholemeal, whatever) in the world in my opinion.

MacLeans, indeed it is HighlandSC. 5 points for you my friend. Easy to get in with my truck, bags of space to park.

Ashers = and as for Harry Gows =

Agreed. However, Harry Gows new french buttery croissant recipe is the best I've had! I'm partial to stopping there in the morning for 2 with jam :) They also do a cracking toastie at lunch time...as long as you make it there by 2.30!! But apart from that, yep

I`ve just had a wee thought, what if our new member actually works in Ashers, or Gows ? We may be slagging of this poor guys workplace(s). And for that I do apologise. 8)

Findhorn? Is that the place of FREE love etc ?

I've got some great memories of times in Forres when I was younger which I'd rather not go into
