Hello from California

Hello from California

Postby slo_alpinist » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:21 pm

Hello,
My wife and I live in San Luis Obispo, CA (USA). We are avid alpinists and rock climbers, but we also love a good trek. In 2002, we trekked from Perth to Arasaig (via Rannoch Moor). It is, to this day, still the most wonderful, peaceful and fulfilling (not to mention restful!) trip that we have yet done anywhere. We are so deeply in love with Scotland, its places and people, that we are returning at the end of August to trek from Inverness to Glenelg (via Glen Affric). From Glenelg, the plan is to go onto Skye and spend a couple of days walking about (and maybe bag a munro or two in the Cuillin). Of course, any suggestions for things that we should not miss are more than welcome.

Slaandjivaa!

Welcome to the site fellow Americans. You'll enjoy Skye, maybe give Bruach na Frithe a go if your up for it, not that hard of a walk and no real tricky bits, yet the views are fantastic.
