Loch ness in the winter...

I'm planing a walk in february to walk round Loch ness... I've done some challenging walks before but i wanted to try something that's not impossible but in the winter. has anyone else done this? or could anyone recommend a route? I know maps but i'm planning to do this with a group of about 6. i thought i should allow 4 days to take it at a relaxed pass and allowing for bad weather. and freezing temps.

any advice or ideas would be most welcome.

Well, for the north side you can use the Great Glen Way route - http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/great-glen-way.shtml

The south side the roads are quieter, and you could use some bits of routes from here, such as http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochness/Inverfarigaig.shtml
