I`m Highlands born and bred, a wee village in Sutherland. I had to hike to school everyday as a kid through wind, sleet and snow and the winters were worse.
So walking up a few wee hills is a breeze
I was introduced to this site by a friend Sid0995.
Sid has decided to contact some former Queens Own Highlanders and Highlanders who we served with and form a group (Hill Walking Battalion) to tab all the buffalo bills in Scotland, starting in Sutherland in Feb 2010 with Ben Klibreck and Ben Hope.
SO say hello if you see any of us on your travels. We will be the ones marching up in file shouting left right left, until we hit the steep climb and the safety vehicle picks us up with the oxygen.
