Hi I am just getting back into hillwalking after a lengthy absence.
I have taken early retirement so plenty of time on my hands. Based in Troon and would welcome any info from anyone on the forum re best groups to get in touch with or some individuals looking for another voice to chat with when outdoors. I am reasonably fit, too young yet for only flat level walks although happy to do these and would appreciate some company. Also I do some mountain biking, game fishing, photography and birding ( none expertly) but all can come together at times.
Hopefully might see some of you in the future.

Welcome Des: I too am fairly new to this site but have been made to feel very welcome with the posts I have made. If you wish company, select a route and post it on the notice board to see what will happen. If you are ever near the Lomonds in Fife I would gladly accompany you.

Hi Des,

Just came across this site tonight. I live in Troon and very much enjoy all types of walking. Are you still looking for company?

Monarchming,

I would like to walk mainly midweek with some weekends.

Can we meet to discuss. Perhaps a walk along Prestwick Beach an afternoon next week?
