Hi everyone

Hi everyone

I would like to say hello to everybody and introduce myself.

I live in Pontefract, West Yorkshire and try to visit the Highlands at least once a year, most recently to Lochaber last August. We enjoyed an excellent weekend's walking, scrambling and climbing, ticking the classic routes of Tower Ridge, Curved Ridge on the 'Buachaille, followed by an ascent of Rannoch Wall via 'January Jigsaw'.

My favorite areas of Scotland are Assynt, Sutherland and Torridon and, not forgetting the wonderful the Isle of Skye. My Munro tally at the moment is quite pathetic at around 20, but I aim to indulge in some serious 'ticking' , starting next year when a club meet is planned for Skye in May. Maybe I'll be fit enough to walk the Cuillin Ridge in a day by then!

Best regards to all

Hi David and welcome

Sounds like you have a battle going on between 'ticking' classic rock-routes and munros. Assynt and Sutherland seem to be cropping up lots as people's favourite areas. I'm biased towards Skye! Hope next May is as good as this one.
