A trekking pack with a very small back

Hi there
I am new to this forum. I have do a lot of trekking in the highlands in my time. High is not really my thing too slow. I have trying to encourage my friend to join me and she is getting into it. We are planning a 3 day trek at Easter. I have all the gear but have a little problem. She is only 4feet 9 inches and needs a bigger rucksack for the trek. My macpac golite and old karrimor are all too big for her back. Any one know of a suitable pack with a very small back.

Hi there and welcome to Walkhighlands
I've been trying to brainstorm on the small back length rucksack. GoLite make rucksacks in different lengths, but then other makes are usually adjustable. I don't think you can really beat going into a big outdoor shop and trying them out - sorry no better ideas

Hi Mountain Tortoise. Berghaus have a new system called Bioflex that (supposedly) can be "adjusted to all back lengths", not sure whether that helps any?

Just to let everyone know I found the answer myself. If you need a pack with a very small back try the Osprey Ace 46. It is meant for teenagers and has a back of 14-20 inchs.
