A trekking pack with a very small back

Hi there
I am new to this forum. I have do a lot of trekking in the highlands in my time. High is not really my thing too slow. I have trying to encourage my friend to join me and she is getting into it. We are planning a 3 day trek at Easter. I have all the gear but have a little problem. She is only 4feet 9 inches and needs a bigger rucksack for the trek. My macpac golite and old karrimor are all too big for her back. Any one know of a suitable pack with a very small back.

Hi there and welcome to Walkhighlands :D
I've been trying to brainstorm on the small back length rucksack. GoLite make rucksacks in different lengths, but then other makes are usually adjustable. I don't think you can really beat going into a big outdoor shop and trying them out - sorry no better ideas :?

Hi Mountain Tortoise. Berghaus have a new system called Bioflex that (supposedly) can be "adjusted to all back lengths", not sure whether that helps any?

Just to let everyone know I found the answer myself. If you need a pack with a very small back try the Osprey Ace 46. It is meant for teenagers and has a back of 14-20 inchs.
