Hi folks, this is such an interesting forum and wish I had found it earlier. Like a few others on here I'm relatively new at discovering the joys of long distance walking and as I've been talking about doing the WHW for years I've bitten the bullet and will be doing it in October. I'm trying to do an average of five to seven miles a day round the Moray coast - I would be up for doing more but it's finding the time! At the moment I'm on holiday in Yorkshire and doing wee bits of the Cleveland Way - I love it. No doubt I'll be seeking some counsel from the experts as I get closer to the deadline.

Hi there,

I did the West Highland Way last year as my first long distance walk and I thought it was amazing! So many beautiful views, friendly people and a fun trip to have!

I hope you enjoy it!
