I visited Dartmoor a few years ago when I was in Plymouth for a course for work, it's a lovely spot. I like the sweeping, wide-open vistas and ancient sites. The ponies were a bit of a weird driving hazard, we don't have free-range ponies in Scotland (not usually anyway) just free-range sheep.

A few Exmoor ponies were released around North Berwick Law a few years ago. I think they're still there.
