I've been lurking around this website for quite some time now, so I thought maybe I should actually register

I love hiking, camping, and being outdoors, although I'm not very experienced. My sister and I have come up with the insane idea to hike the Affric Kintail Way this April. Neither of us has any experience with actual long-distance hiking or wild camping, so it's going to be quite an adventure for both of us. I've never even been to Scotland before, but all the pictures and stories have made me very excited.
So far, my sister and I have done some practice hiking weekends over here in the Netherlands (where we live), but even the hilliest part of our country is flat compared to the Highlands, so I expect we'll be crippled anyway
