Couch to 282!

Couch to 282!

Hi everyone! I'm Lewis, nice to meet you.

I've long enjoyed going on adventures, but I'm not super active beyond the occasional walk. I always considered any attempt at a Munro to be beyond me, but as of today I've managed three in the space of a week! That's nothing compared to what I've seen others accomplish, but nevertheless it feels like an achievement.

With Mayar, Driesh and Mount Keen all marked as pins on my Munro map, it's got me wanting to do more. Whether I shoot for all 282 remains to be seen, but I do know that these ascents are completely worth the time and effort, and what brilliant adventures they are.

This forum has provided me with some excellent advice so far, and everyone I've met on the hills has been super friendly. I look forward to chatting with and meeting more of you :)

Best wishes,
- Lewis D.

Hi Lewis, that's amazing well done! I attempted Ben Lomond last year when I was very unfit and only got halfway up before giving up 😄😄
A lot fitter now so like you would love to go for them all! Good luck!

That's awesome Shelley, I wish you all the best in it! If we ever come across one another on the hills we can motivate each other to get to the summit :D

Hi Lewis!

Same here - I've had the occassional wander up various hills and such, but have firmly set my sights on bagging some Munros. Best of luck and keep us posted!

What do they say? The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Good for you, and hope you keep going when these strange years are over.

Don't forget there are lots of wonderful hills that are not Munros!

Hi Lewis, 282 seems a bit daunting, I know....! I’ve only climbed 3, but definitely going to bag more. Good luck in the hills! Ed.
