looking over to high raise.
as we came over the kirkstone pass it was thick in cloud as normal but when we dropped down to hartstop this side of the valley was clear.
what a start to this to this walk! straight up to brock crags from the path, there is a zig zag route up as well ! "will take this one next time".
on brock crags the cloud was broken and very cold, from here we went east on a well worn path to satura crag and then up onto rest dodd.
on the way up to the knot the snow began to get thicker under foot and going was tough.the weather was holding out with some great views over to high raise.
we droped of the knot and followed the path round to raise and then to kidsty pike, looking over to high street from here we could see the weather closing in.
so of to high street climbing into the cloud and wind.when we reached the summit it was pretty miserable and had to rely on the compasss to get us to thornthwaite crag beacon,
another bearing to gray grag and back ,here we decided to call it a day and headed down threshthwaite cove down the valley and back to the car.
this walk was made difficult with the cloud and snow but still a great day out.
