Back with most of the 3 Peaks team to complete the unfinished challenge, and doing it in the hardest way! The scramble up to Crib Goch from the PYG track tested the three of us that foresook the easy option - there are quite a few dead ends and retraces - but the ridge itself (albeit in only a brisk breeze) is delightful: constantly interesting and challenging but never feeling dangerous. Crib y Ddysgl, which would be a challenging climb on most days, feels a nothing afterwards, but it's a nice summit, and Snowdon itself - despite the crowds - is one of the best around.
Descent via the Miner's Track. And perhaps a lesson that, for all its interest in the early stages, this is a path not to do too many times; the flat last miles can seem a bit of a comedown.
