This hike featured 3 gorgeous villages, 2 castles, 1 stately home, rivers, ponds, woods, farmers fields - it was all kinds of amazing. Despite the rocky start of not being able to locate a taxi (as it was a point to point walk) once we got going, the whole thing was phenomenal. If you think you could top this walk with another one close to London, please leave a comment and let me know as I'm always on the look out for hikes/walks close to home.
If you watch the video, I hope you enjoy it.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
