You'd think I'd have more imagination. Anyway, my 19th time around this classic route but the first for almost two years. An overnighter with a fine sunset from Pen-y-ghent. Bit of cloud on Whernside, not that this matters at almost two in the morning, but twinkling lights in the valleys. Disappointing on Ingleborough as the cloud there obscured the sunrise.

The walk is being made less challenging by all the footpath "improvements". I guess it is inevitable with the popularity of the walk. I remember the days when there were very few boardwalks/pavers. Ho hum! Them were the days.
