Early afternoon start, concerned about parking in Stonethwaite but it was fine. Set off in the wrong direction but a very cheerful local set me straight. Very warm setting off and difficult scramble up Eagle Crag. Was very grateful for a shower. Straightforward walk over to Sergeant's Crag then round to Ullscarf. Got temporarily sidetracked following cairns then found the correct route. Coming down off Ullscarf without any sort of path I started to get concerned about timing. Made it to Dock Tarn then decided it was time to call it a day and headed back to the car. Looking at the map I clearly went a bit wrong. Hopefully I'll be able to work that out when I go back to pick up Great Crag and Grange Fell.
