We started this walk with the intention of doing five of Wainwrights outliers above the Wet Sledddale reservoir.
It started off quite fair with the sun shining, we followed the path alongside the reservoir but found the point crossing the Sleddale Beck difficult to get over so we headed for the footbridge further up crossed it then set off to gain our planned route.
After regaining this we started to climb the hillside towards Great Ladstones losing the path on the way up. Looking SW we could see bad weather approaching so decided to bin this walk and leave it for another day, it had taken a good hour and a half to get to this point and hadn't reached the first top, we didn't fancy trying to find our way in mist and rain especially when time was short.
