With Doug and Stephen starting from Pen-Y-Pass car park. Very busy with all grades of walkers and all routes popular. Followed Miners Track past Llyn Llydaw to Glaslyn passing old mine workings all the way. Left Stephen to have his lunch and followed path to upper cwm to well engineered zig zag, stepped path to shoulder just below summit. Joined crowds at summit (some walkers but most off train) and took in the great views, especially Crib Goch. Watched some of the strugglers on the arete for little while before return by route of ascent to meet Stephen again. Weather was superb, hot and sunny.
