start and finish at the yha in gleridding easy walk with no major navigation problems. Grisedale tarn to the path up the side of deepdale hause needs a compass bearing in the mist but easy enough to follow once you have the path which is faint in places. this walk was all done in the mist except on the way down from st sunday crag across to birks great views of ullswater and surrounding area.
