A good walk taking about 5 hours or so allowing for stops for food, drink and photos.
Would have been good if the weather report hadn't underestimated the temperatures by quite a bit
Was interested in why on the final return leg everyone passing us smelt of perfume and aftershave not good old fashioned perspiration, then realised. It was people walking along the path from one lake steamer stop to the next
This board helps you to share your walking route experiences in England and Wales... or overseas.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
