For this walk the idea was to bag all four Hewitts in the Pen-y-Ghent area.I began the walk at the small car park at Dale Head just south of Pen-y-Ghent.
Following the Pennine Way I ascended Pen-y-Ghent before heading towards Plover Hill.
From Plover I descended down towards Foxup Beck and contoured around Plover hill to reach the minor road at Hesleden Bergh.
Following this road back to the Pennine way offered the easiest route up Fountains Fell before a gruelling bit of terrain to bag Darnbrook Fell.
Having to do this again to reach the Pennine way and get back to the car.

Nice to see Fountains / Darnbrook on a sunny day. That was another wet, foggy one for me. I was fascinated by the erosion around the trig on Darnbrook Fell

That trig looks like it has taken some bad weather. It was a fantastic day with great views.I was treated to a very low flyover by a Tornado Jet on three occasions to top it off.

I went from Arncliffe to Malham Tarn and followed the P.W. onto Fountains before heading to Darnbrook and littondale. I only have Birks to bag in that area now.
