A nice walk along the eastern carnedd starting in a small car park at the top of rowen which is down a (very narrow lane)
it was a frosty morning with nice clear skies we started the walk at 9am and headed off towards the the first peak drum.
We arrived at drum and had very good views of foel fras in front of us there was still some frost and a small amount of snow on the ground but easily passable . after the climb up to foel fras we arrived at the sumit with excellent views all round with the weather improving the further we went . We then carried on headed along the top to Garnedd Uchaf were we decided to have a bite to eat and some warm soup with great views over to Yr Elen . We then had 1 more to go before reach ing Llewelyn which was Foel Grach there is a small shelter there if the weather is too bad but we were blessed with fine weather.
We then started our final ascent up to Carnedd Llewelyn which was a slight scramble as there was still a few patches of frozen snow between the rocks but after a little weaving round the patches we reached the top with amazing clear view over to the glyders and tryfan in the distance we then took in the views and then it was back along the route back to the car
a very good walk with great views...
