Over towards Bowfell and Three Tarns


Traverse over from Three Tarns to the climbers path


And the spring - a good place for a drink


Keep to the right on the Great Slab - no people here

Hi Siabod, interesting route up.
How easy is the Great Slab? It looks pretty steep and I guess it would be tricky when wet.

I guess you could almost walk up it if dry - easy escape on right if wet or icy

Interesting route siabod. Was up the Great Slab earlier this year, nice and dry and very easy to walk up.

My favorite is Bow fell yet never had a clear day. Taking some mates next week so here's hoping

Hope you have a good day "Luvhiking" and weather is ok. Took me 5 times of trying to get up Bowfell and actually see where I was going and that was about 45 years ago
Now I have to be content with admiring it and Crinkle Crags from the Blea Tarn Pass

Great stuff Siabod, looks a good workout

Looks like a good route Siabod....some interesting pictures as well. Been a couple of years since i stayed at Stalag Langdale....good to hear it hasn't changed much!!

Might be worth checking out Bayesbrown Farm instead. A mile or two down the road from the NT site but pitch where you want (we were in a group of 5 with 3 tents and had plenty of space) and the facilities were basic but clean.
