Walkhighlands

We walked from Askham over Moor Divock and up High Street (the Roman road, not the mountain!) to take in these two Wainwrights. The Romans knew how to pick a good gradient! It's a walk for a sunny day, as the moorland walk would be dull on a cloudy or wet day. We had sun and great views of Blencathra, Skiddaw, the Helvellyn Range as well as the Pennines to the east and the Howgills to the south. There are great views down into Howtown etc from Bonscale Pike.
Askham is a really pretty village with two good pubs for your return!
