Brock Crags from Hartsop

We've always missed this one out before as we've been on the way to other objectives, but this made a nice 8 Km round for a shortish November day. We climbed from the carpark in Hartsop following Wainwright's zig zag grassy rake, going as far as the filter house by Hayeswater beck and then doubling back. We didn't get it quite right on the next zig zag after the wall and ended up with a steeper ascent than we'd bargained for, going up by the wall line above the filter house at the end. From Brock Crags we took a direct path north on the west side of Angle Tarn, and from there to Boardale Hause. Here we took the good path which follows the line of the aqueduct back to Hartsop - it gives good views of the slopes of Brock Crags. You could easily take in Angle Tarn Pikes if you want on this round, but.... been there, done that! :)

It was Remembrance Day - and we found a poppy on the path in time for the minute's silence. 11, 11, 11, 11
