Walkhighlands

This was my first winter weather walk and I really enjoyed it.

One of my favourite walks Pity you couldn't see much but enjoyed your photos nevertheless

A classic Lakes Round. shame about the weather though.

Weather wasn't too bad really although we did miss out on the views from the top had a great day in the snow. The horizontal hail on the top of high street wasn't very nice though

Nice walk & well done getting out in what looked like dodgy conditions.

Had a wander up that way a couple of months back myself although with slightly different conditions underfoot! Had a great day out,opting to miss out Harter Fell & cut down from Nan Bields pass to Smallwater which was beautiful,a real gem.

Please excuse me & my trainspotter ways,but i noticed you had ascended to High Street via Rough Crag which is on the Hewitt list but you haven't included it on the 'Hewitts included on this walk' bit at the beginning of your report. Apologies for the pedantry,just don't want you to miss out on a possible 'tick'.

Great walk that ChrisG, did it a couple of months ago but then spoilt it by assending Branstree which was a bog and boring.

Glad to help. I was quite impressed with Rough Crag,even though i could barely stand up due to the wind when i was there. I'd not been up to High Street that way before & reckon it's the best route of ascent,great views down Haweswater.

Nice. I'll get to the Lakes one day. I actually misread the title for this one in a passing dyslexic moment - I though it was a bad Christmas shopping story. Something about Farter hell on the High Street.......
