In 2009 at the tender age of 41 I decided to take up walking - so I thought start off with something easy - So I decided on the Cumbrian its on 70 odd miles EASY! I thought.... I also managed to fool a couple of my mates in to believing it would be easy as well... and the agreed to join me... here's the pics.

last but not least...

Its hard to describe how much pain I was in with my feet.... and that was from day two onwards - I had to take two ibuprofen 30 minutes before I could put my boots on everyday. When I got home and my feet had the chance to swell to their full potential, I literally couldn't walk and had to crawl around the house for two days.

These pictures just emphasises how naive I was prior to doing this long distance walk.
So be warned if you're going to attempt a LDW - be prepared and be fit - you'll enjoy it SO much more.

Epic walk, well done.

Walking and carrying your stuff for camping for 5+ days and nights is pretty demanding (I imagine).
